The major project for the weekend was reseeding our yard - again. We generally try something new each go round to help the grass grow. Last time it was adding 16 yards of top soil. That didn't help. This time we added 10 yards of compost. It arrived in the dump truck Friday morning.

Before getting dirty by hauling the compost all over the yard, we went out to lunch at one of our favorite restaurants - Sarah's Empanadas. Most people have never heard of this place. They're only open 11 AM - 2 PM weekdays, but they are often packed with the RTP working crowd. They are located in the shopping center at the corner of Highway 55 and Sedwick Drive. (A word of caution - steer clear of the beef empanada - it's yucky!)

Upon returning home, the men began working on spreading out the compost. The shoveling was heavy work! We got the new wheelbarrow for this very project, and it helped a lot. Memaw and Pop-pop also helped with weeding all around the house, especially in the strawberry patch.

By the end of the afternoon, the pile of compost was gone! We were all hungry for dinner. Off to another family favorite - Sweet Tomatoes! Greg ate his first meal on the go. He was pretty busy looking around at everyone, but all in all the feeding went well.

We got home just in time for Greg's bedtime. Pop-pop read to him and then the adults sat down for a game of Settlers of Catan.
