As I went to leave the house one day, I pushed the garage door opener and heard a terrible grinding noise. The door made it up part way then came crashing down. The problem became progressively worse and eventually the door would move. Andrew discovered the issue after a lot of investigation and tests. The carriage assembly teeth had worn down over the years and could no longer raise the door. We ordered a new part right away!
